Icons Do Not Appear Consistently in Microsoft Outlook 2002

Hello,

I have recently started using Microsoft Outlook 2002 to access my
emails with professional accounts(*.edu,*.net) and one hotmail.com
account. If I have replied to any email in my inbox with professional
accounts, I can see an icon with a return arrow against that email
which tells me what emails I have replied to. Great! However, the same
thing doesn't happen while using hotmail.com account.

The OS is Windows XP Home Edition.

Can anyone suggest what changes should I make?

Thanks a lot,

DS

This is normal behaviour; the icons don't change on reply and forward for a
Hotmail account.

Thanks Roady for a prompt reply. It might be a normal behavior but
isn't it inconvinient! Do the developers of MS Outlook 2002 know about
it? If yes, it is surprising that they don't want to improve it. If
they don't, Microsoft must have assembled a weak team for the
development of MS Outlook 2002! Contrarily, the new version of
hotmail from web is amazingly convinient, intuitive, and
user-friendly. Their developers must be a strong team!

Thanks,

Devendra

It's not limited to Outlook 2002; Outlook 2003 also shows this behaviour.

A little more info;
The mail you are seeing on screen is based on a form that decides where to
put everything. When you use custom forms (which is also the case for
showing an Hotmail account) icons do not always change on replys and
forwards.

You can always make a suggestion to the development team to look at it again
for future releases;
