IE7 updates "break" PWA views

MSP 2003, PS2003, IE7, Office 2007, XP SP2

Yesterday, one of our PMs updated their PC with the latest IE patches.
Today, they noticed that when trying to view their Task sheet, Resource
Assignment, or Resource Availability, they are only able to see assignments
for the current day. They have tried to change the date ranges in the View
Options but they change doesn't "take". Most of our organization is on IE6
and Office XP (including myself) but we have a few other PWA users on IE7.
They are not as up-to-date on patches, and not experiencing this same issue.

I have looked on the forum and the internet and have been unsuccessful in
finding any similar reports so I'm hoping someone is able to help. I have
screenshots that I can send if visuals are needed.

My gut tells me it is related to the updates he loaded and perhaps impacted
the Active X controls? (much like the issue with the Active X controls when
trying to modify start and finish dates in To Do lists). The PM is also
verifying if someone else accessing PWA through his PC encounters the same
issue (to rule out profile corruption)

Does anyone have any thoughts? I have suggested that people wait to load
anymore IE7 patches until I can obtain a resolution for this problem.

Thanks!

Thanks, Gary! I will give this a try and will let you know if that fixed it.

Hi Gary-

I had the PM try what you had suggested but unfortunately it didn't fix the
problem. He also rebuilt his profile in case it had become corrupted somehow.

Do you have any other suggestions that we can try? We're almost certain
this was caused by a Windows Update but he installed quite a few and there is
no easy way to identify which one was the offending party. I was hoping
there would be more reports on the forum of similiar issues but I haven't
found any yet.

thanks!

Hi Gary-

I have sent a request to the person impacted for a list of patches they had
loaded. He had indicated that he loaded quite a few, but I don't know how
many "quite a few" is :)

As soon as I get it, I will reply with the list.

Thanks!!

Gary- I have received a list of patches, which is quite lengthy. I have
shortened to reflect the updates that either were loaded in the past few
weeks, or do not have a date stamp to tell me when they were loaded. I
didn't add the updates loaded prior to August as the user reported PWA was
working correctly approximately a month ago.
