Snapper

When I insert an image from clipart in Publisher the image shows, but
if I convert it to an Office drawing object it disappears. I mean it's
still there, (the handles are still showing) but the image isn't
visible, this happens in Word as well. Anyone have an idea as to what
might be causing this?
