when on other sites; on some images the little box pops
up with the icons for print, email etc. How do I ensure
this is not set on my images? Thank you.

Add this to the head section of your pages:

<META HTTP-EQUIV="imagetoolbar" CONTENT="no">

However, it doesn't stop anyone from saving your images.
Nothing does.
