IMAP Problems

John

I have always used Outlook Express 6 with IMAP without any problems. I
installed Outlook 2003 last night, migrated my email accounts into it from
Outlook Express, and I'm getting these errors:

Task 'Checking for new mail in subscribed folders on <mailbox name>'
reported error (0x800CCC0E) : 'Outlook is unable to download folder (null)
from the IMAP e-mail server for account <mailbox name>. Error: Unable to
connect to the server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your
server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

I have 3 IMAP accounts, all from the same ISP, and a few POP3 accounts from
2 or 3 different ISPs. It is consistent that at least one of my 3 IMAP
accounts gets this error every time it goes out to check for mail. But it
moves around between 1, 2 or all 3 of them getting this error. All POP3
accounts are working fine.

I'm a techie and have used IMAP, POP3 and SMTP for years so I am pretty good
at this stuff. I checked the setup and all looks fine. I am stumped at why
the problems moves around between different accounts.

I believe my ISP is using HSphere and QMAIL... if that helps diagnose the
problem any.

Again, my OE still works fine on the same computer and same accounts. If
anyone has an idea of how to resolve this problem I would greatly appreciate
the tip. Thanks.
