I am trying to import individual excel cell data from a worksheet to a word
document. I don't want to import the entire sheet, just a few of the cells
that contain specific data I need for my Word Document. Is it possible?

Yes.

But before I venture to write out a procedure, you have to tell us exactly
what it is you are trying to do, the Office version you are using and how
you expect this to work (Manually, with a macro, from Excel, etc.)

Jean-Guy:

I have created a price list on various services offered by our company in
Excel. I want to create a catalog for distribution to our customers in MS
Word and import the various prices from Excel into the proper location in the
catalog.

Each catalog will be a little different in style but the various prices
imported from Excel would remain the same. I would like to do it similar to
a merge document to keep it as simple as possible and have the data
automatically merged.

Example

Catalog Line Excel
Merge Field
Basic Professional Services $ 1,000.00
Complete Professional Services $ 1,100.00

My operating system is 2000 and I'm using Excel and Word2000 to accomplish
this task.

Any help would be appreciated!

The easiest in this case is to select the cell in Excel, place the cursor
where you want that result in Word and use Edit > Paste Special >Paste Link
and choose the format you want in the list.
If you change the value in Excel, it will automatically change in Word.
