Import into Outlook 2003 Not Successful

I have been running Office 2003 beta 2 for most of the year. Recently I had to rebuild a system so I copied the entire c:\Documents and Settings folder to CD. Normally, and I believe in my case, Outlook stores the files there. After rebuilding the system and reinstalling Outlook I attempted to import my old email. To my dismay all I am seeing is messages older than April perhaps the timeframe when I upgrade my older Outlook to Outlook 2003. Everything saved since then is gone. The .pst file is dated 11/24/2003 which is the day I saved it off to CD. Everything was there when I last used Outlook that day. I've also tried replacing the new Outlook files with the ones of the CD as the names are the same. Still same problem

Did I not save all the files I needed or did Outlook mess up somehow? Anything else I can try
