importing/exporting

Outlook has grayed out my "import/export" function, and I
have no clue why. How do I get this back? (I used it
last week...no problem.)

Waht version of Outlook and where are you when you try to use import/export?
Why do you need to import/export and not just copy the file to where you
need it?
