Importing htm files into PowerPoint

Sherry

I imported an htm file from the Internet into Powerpoint then inserted
several printer gif files and a couple of comments. I then saved the file as
a powerpoint presentation.

I sent the file to a co-worker and when she opens the file all she sees are
boxes with a red X where the printer gif files are and the comments. She is
not able to see the htm file that I imported into powerpoint.

We have tried opening the files on both Windows XP and Windows 2000 PC with
Office XP and still have the same results.

Any help would be grealy appreciated.

Steve,

The maps that I was pulling into Powerpoint were originally .dwg files. I
used a dwg converter package to convert them to .gif files. From there we
use Novell's iPrint map designer which allows us to add .gif files which are
the printer icons you see on the maps. When we add the icons to the maps we
have the availability then to link that icon to the iPrint broker where all
the drivers for the Xerox are stored. When we save that map it then saves it
as an .htm file which then allows the user to go to our Intranet, click on
the printer icon, which then installs the printer drivers.

In short that's the process we go though and since most of the printer icons
are already on the .htm file I used that. What I haven't tried is using the
maps that were originally .gif files and then add the printer icons on top of
that.
