Importing inboxes and addressbooks from networked computers both with Outlook

R

RainLover

Hello,

I just upgraded my computer and currently have my old one and new one networked together.

In all the "import" program options, importing from outlook TO outlook is NOT one of the options.

What's the simplist way to get my address book and e-mail storage folders to my new computer?

Are there specific files I can move to get my address book to the new computer? (where are they,
I've looked!)

Is there a way to syncronize the two computers, so if my wife sends an email on the 'old' one it
would show up in the 'sent' folder of BOTH computers?

Thanks for any and all help,

James

The file that you are looking for that stores the e-mails and address book
has a .pst extension. To find the path to the file you are using:
1. Open Outlook on the old machine.
2. Right click in the Folder List where it says Personal Folder and Select
Properties. (If you dont see the folder list go to View and select Folder
List)
3. Now click on the Advanced button.
4. Now write down the path listed in the Filename field.

Now you can copy the Personal Folder File (.pst) to the other machine and
import it.

As for your second question there is not a way to synchronize the two
Outlooks.

If you need further instructions please let me know. I hope this
information is helpful.
