Importing styles from a document into normal.dot

In Word 2000, I need to import styles from a document into my normal.dot
template. Can you please tell me how to do this?

Open the document that you want to copy styles from. Click on Tools |
Templates and Addins | Organizer | Styles. You should see your document in
one pane and normal.dot in the other pane. Select the styles in your
document, and click on Copy. If you are prompted to save your global
normal.dot template when you exit Word, say yes.
