importing text from word into pub

when i try importing a text doc. from word into publisher-----an error message comes up -- not enough memory, close all programs----i have no other programs open -----------how do i fix this, or is my copy of pub faulty ta

You fix it by giving us some information like what version of Windows, Word
and Publisher are you using!!!

More than likely you have that junk garbage trash Norton programs installed.
UN-install/RE-move the junk garbage trash rubbish Norton programs, re-boot
and your problems will be over.

Get a quality decent AV program like www.grisoft.com

Have you tried using the Insert text file option, instead of importing
the file? This is what I always do, and it works fine even though I
use Norton AV. (Pub 2002, Word 2002, but it worked fine with earlier
versions too.)

Keep in mind Sibyl that the Import Word Document feature allows most formatting
and objects to be imported, where as Insert Text ONLY will insert text
items.
