Importing working times for resources

Hello

We have a number of projects (in MS Project-terms it is really a number of
different tasks within the same project), for which we need to assign
ressources (student workers). Every other week or so, each of the student
workers reports his/hers individual working times (work calendar) for the
next few weeks. Based on this, we assign the student workers to the
different projects. In essence, this gives us a unique calendar for each
student worker. Project can handle this, but we need to somehow import these
data to project from eg. an Excel file, since manually inputting the working
times from approx. 150 ressources would be too time consuming. Can this be
done? And if so, which format should the Excel (or other) file have?

Thank you very much in advance.

Yes - I have done exactly this using VBA code.
If you cannot do this, I suggest you advertise for a developer to assist.
My code reads a excel file of "Resourcename,Available from Date/time,
Available to date/time" and updates the resource calendar. See
www.preventive.co.nz for more information.

You must be aware that you can only have a maximum of 5 time slots on any
one day.
