I'm running Outlook 2003, so if these features are in the latest version,
great.
Otherwise, here's a few of my improvements to Outlook.
1. Allow sorting by domain. I'd be able to pull up all emails from a
particular company (ie. all microsoft.com responses)
2. Smart reading and deleting of emails. Like most people, I sort my email
by received date/time (working my way logically through events occurring).
It'd be nice if there was a way to quickly jump to my first unread new email,
so I can work my way through the new stuff. Also, when deleting emails as I
work towards today, it'd be nice if after hitting delete the list item
selected were to move as well. Today, deleting is a multi-key process to
delete and then MOVE using the cursor keys.
3. When I press SEND on a new email, provide a notice if my email is not
responded to in n-days by my intended recipient. This feature would be
invaluable if you expect a response, yet haven't seen one (giving them ample
time to respond).
4. Allow me to delete an attachment from an incoming email without losing
the email itself. I often want a record of what and when something was sent,
but don't always want to bulky item in my in box (especially if I already
saved it somewhere).
Thanks~
Tony
