in ms excel how to count the no of cells

I want in the excel sheet, to count the number of dated information cells
and omit #N/A cells with in one row

Is it text or numbers, if it is numbers you can use

=COUNTIF(E:E,"<"&99^99)

if it is text

=COUNTIF(E:E,"<="&REPT("z",253))

If you want to count the cells with DATES and there are no numbers in any
other cells:

=COUNT(A1:A100)

DATES are just numbers formatted to look like dates. So, if you have both
DATES and numbers in the range then you'll have to narrow it down and define
a minimum date and a maximum date then get the count that falls within that
range.

If it's the "row" part giving you trouble, one way for Row 4...

=COUNT(4:4)
