I would like to print the file properties, or, if this is not possible,
download the file properties somehow. I run Office 97 with standard apps
(Word, Access, etc.). I do not use Outlook, however.

I don't have Word 97 at hand to check this, but I believe that when you
use the menu: File/Print, and on that dialog box, press the 'print
options' button, you'll find there a check box for printing the document
properties.
