In word 2000/2003 images show as white frames - why

Image shows in Print Preview and Reading Layout Views.

However I mainly work in Print Layout mode

Make sure you have "Drawings" checked on the View tab of Tools | Options
(and "Picture placeholders" *not* checked).

In Tools=>Options=>View see if [x] Picture Placeholders
has been turned on.
