Incorrect user name?

Linn Kubler

Hi,

We are using Outlook 2003 with and Exchange backend. When composing an
email message to one of my users we find that the quick lookup pulls the
wrong name. This is a situation where this user got married and changed her
last name but when you type her name in the To: field it lists it like this:

Jane Doe <Smith>

Where Jane Doe is her correct name and Smith is her old name.

I've looked all through her user properties in AD but do not see any
reference to Smith.

Any suggestions? Where do you think this is kept and is it possible to
correct it?

Thanks in advance,
Linn

The autocompletion cache .N2K file is discussed here daily. It is not
Contacts or GAL - just a cache of recently used names.

To remove a name, show it in the To... field then use the down arrow and
delete button to remove the name from the drop down list.
