I have a custom Infopath webform that is hosted on a SharePoint
server. There is an email submit function setup to email me a copy of
the form when it is submitted. Everything works great with the form
and the submission email. The form submits and an email is sent when
the form is filled out on 98% of the PCs on my network. However,
there are a few PCs that can submit the form, but the email is never
sent. The webform says that it was successfully submitted, but the
email never comes. I am 100% sure that it is workstation related, as
it only happens from specific PCs. On these workstations an email is
not sent 100% of the time while a PC right next to it will send the
email containing the exact same form data.
I have remedied this on a few workstations by running Windows
updates. However, our Windows updates are handled via SCCM and
Infopath updates aren't pushed automatically. Additionally, access to
the Microsoft Updates website is blocked so that SCCM is the only
method for updating. I never had the chance to pinpoint which update
fixed the issue.
Are there specific Windows updates that fix this issue? Or does
anybody know which update I should try?
