Insert a "Blank" column

All the columns that you can select from the pull down menu all have
formula's attached to them. I need a "BLANK" column for information I need
that has no meaning to the project other then to me as the PM.

You can insert a text1 - text[n] field into your view and it will be a blank
free form text field. There are also local custom blank cost, duration,
number, flag fields you can use.
