Insert multi-page pdf file into publisher document

Hi ...

I need to insert a 7-page pdf file into a 10-page publisher document. How
can I do that? I clicked on "import object" and it put the file in as a
link. Is that the best it can do?

I'm on deadline so early responses will be most appreciated.Thanks in

Whether the file goes into Publisher or not depends on the version of Reader
you're using, and the security options on the PDF file, among other things.

If you download and install the free GhostScript and GSView from
http://www.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost/, you can convert the PDF file to an image,
which you can easily import into a Publisher document.

Thanks Ed. Yes, I have GhostScript - but this is a 7-page (8.5 x 11)
document -- and I really don't want to convert it page by page if there's a
way around that. Is there? I am now using Acrobat 6.0 Pro and if there are
security settings i haven'et found them. Thanks for your help with this!

On the Acrobat toolbar, document, extract pages. This will create 6 new PDF
documents. I am using Acrobat 7.

Converting 7 pages with GhostScript (or with Acrobat, as you have Acrobat
Pro) is probably quicker than any other method, and much quicker than
waiting for a response here

When you say you "import" do you mean insert? I have no problem inserting a PDF into
Publisher except Publisher will only accept one page at a time, this is why I
suggested the extraction method.

Yes, I do mean insert as an OLE object.
