insert new slide?

have a 15 slide presentation already setup with timing for music, etc.
Would like to insert a new slide at beginning and set time to 3 seconds
before rest of presentation begins w/o going through rehearsal timing again.
Music won't start until second slide starts.
suggestions please,

Ctrl+M, Right Click on the blank slide, and from the pop up menu, select slide
transition, under Advance slide remove checkmark for On mouse Click...insert
checkmark in automatically after, and insert your 3 seconds
