insert picture into Word

Why are all my pictures now OmniPage Image files? What happened to .jpg
files? Why does no picture appear when I attempt to insert into Word?

You can change the file association for .jpg files to open in the program of
your choice by starting Windows Explorer and clicking on Tools | Folder
Options | File Types.

To make inserted pictures appear in Word, you should work in Print Layout
view (not Normal view), and click on Tools | Options | View | check the
"Drawings" box and uncheck the "Picture placeholders" box | Print | check the
"Drawing objects" box | OK.
