Insert > Picture > Link to file - is not working...

Does anyone know why "Insert > Picture > Link to file" does not work in
Publisher, when trying to link to pictures stored in a Sharepoint Services
imagelibrary...?

This works fine with both Word and Powerpoint...

It could be something to do with SharePoint.

Ask this in a SharePoint newsgroup

Have you checked your security settings?

It is most probably to do with the integration between Publisher and
Sharepoint - I have tested different setups (Office 2003 Pro, Office 2007
Pro, Publisher 2003 standalone with WSSv2, WSSv3 - all clients using same
security settings) with the same result - all versions of WSS and
Word/Powerpoint works, no versions of WSS and Publisher works. I have posted
the request at different Sharepoint forums for the last 3 months, with no
result - but it seems as if Publisher is not worth the effort - so I guess I
just leave it at that.
