Inserting an Adobe Illustrator logo into Publisher 2007?

A graphic designer sent me a logo in .ai (Adobe Illustrator) format. When I
go to Insert > Object, it inserts something with the filename on it, but not
the logo itself. I absolutely cannot get this figured out.

How do I get this logo displayed correctly in my document?

Publisher will not import .ai images, Visio will. Do you have a draw program?
Corel will import .ai files. Have your sender convert the logo to a .wmf or
..emf.

I can convert it for you if your sender cannot.

Negative. I don't have Illustrator, but I think I found a workaround. Thanks.

No. I don't have a draw program. I may wind up buying Visio, but for other

No. I don't have a draw program.

Inkscape from www.inkscape.org is a most excellent and free draw
program. I haven't successfully imported .ai files into it, though.
