Inserting linked excel sheets into word document?

Hi. I'm trying to insert a linked excel sheet into a word 2000 document. I've
tried: pasting as a link as a formatted text (this does a decent job, but the
formatiing doesn't stick), pasting as a microsoft excel sheet (but it only
shows one page of text in the word doc. You can edit the entire excel sheet,
and inserting a file (but that didn't give me a linked file to the excel
sheet, so defeated the purpose.

You can't really link more than the equivalent of "one page" of an Excel
file into a Word document.
