Inserting picture as background for one slide

How do you insert a picture into a current presentation and make that picture a background just for one slide?

You can choose Insert, Picture, From File and pick your picture, then size
it to fill the slide and finally choose Draw, Order, Send To Back.

Or choose Format, Background, click the down-arrow next to the current
color, pick Fill Effects, pause for a breather, click Picture, click Select
Picture, choose your picture, hang in there, we're almost done, click OK,
then click Apply (NOT Apply to All) and you're done.
