Inserting Text from Word document

I have a word document which contains recipes that I am try to copy/paste
into a booklet in publisher. When I highlight on each recipe in the word
document and insert it into publisher sometimes it works fine and other times
only the first few lines that I highlighted will insert into the publisher
document. The text is the same format and size for each part of the word
document. What can I do to get the text copied/pasted in the publisher
document? Thanks

Is each recipe an individual Word file? Create a text box, right-click, click
change text, click text file, browse to the Word file.

What version Publisher are you using? Have you tried using the Office clipboard.

Edit, Office Clipboard, you can collect 24 copied items with the Office
Clipboard open. You can open it in Word as well as Publisher.

All the recipes are on one word document. I am taking each recipe and
putting it on certain pages of the publisher document. I guess I just don't
understand why copy/paste on some of the text worked fine and then others
only one line shows up in the publisher doc. I believe that the version of
Publisher I was using was 2007 but I don't know for certain. I did see a
clip board come up in word but I have never used that before so I didn't know
what it was for. As you can tell I know only a little about these programs.
I have only used them to make newsletters or basic letters. If you could
offer step by step what I should do, I would appreciate it.

I found out today that the version of Pub that we are using is 2003. I tried
to use the office clipboard to paste portions of the word document into the
publisher document but I was still having trouble with it picking up only one
line of the copied text. It showed the complete text in the clipboard. The
person that I am working with on this project decided to try and start over.
We began a new booklet and then just imported the entire word document. This
seemed to work, however, I would now like to tweek the look of the booklet.
Some recipes are on one page and then continue on the next page. What I
would like to do is have the recipe all on one page even if that means that
there is a large space on the previous page. I think it would be better for
the persons reading the recipe if the text was all together. I tried to
figure out how to do this (like page break in word or just tabbing until the
text flows the next page) but this did not work. What can I do to format
these pages as I wish? Also, we happened to just try and do a quick print of
the basic booklet that we had, however, it comes over as only one sided
paper. How can we get it so that we can just fold over the entire document
and it is written on both sides of the paper (for a cookbook)? I would
appreciate you telling me step by step what I need to do as I am a novice
with this program. Thank you
