installation of publisher 2003

I have Office 2003 loaded on my pc, but don't have Publisher. My boss wants
me to do some work at home using Publisher, so I want to install it from the
Office Pro disk. However, when I opt to just install Publisher (on install
wizard), it looks like I am agreeing to remove all my other Office programs
by unchecking them and that is definitely not what I want to do. How can I
just install Publisher 2003 and safeguard all my other 2003 programs?

You don't need to agree to remove Office to install Publisher. Are you
installing from the Control Panel? It maybe clearer to you if you do. Scroll
down to Office, click change.

I tried your suggestion and the same window popped up stating: "Please
select the MS Office 2003 applications you would like to install". It lists
Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Publisher and Access. Then the next
sentence states: "Please deselect the MS Office 2003 applications you would
like to remove." This is where I hesitate to uncheck all but Publisher
because it appears that by doing so and then pressing "update", I will be
removing the other apps that I currently have installed. Make sense? Is
there no other way to just install Publisher from the cd?

Insert your CD, On the screen with the programs, check *Choose advanced
customization of applications* Click each application except Publisher, select
*Not Available.*
