Installed Office 2000, can't access applications - PLEASE HELP

C

Carolyn

Thanks, DL and JoAnn. This is a laptop I'm trying to set up for a friend and
is not
currently connected to the internet, so I can't run the fixex for it right
now. I've been having problems with it - do you believe it is a computer
problem rather than a Microsoft Office problem - I'm thinking that it is, but
would like your opinion. I'm thinking of taking it back to where I bought it
and letting them get it in condition to be able to run applications. What do
you think?

Another question - should Office 2000 always be locked when turned on?? Is
there some way to get around that or turn it off so that I don't have those
extra steps just to get to the desktop? Thanks again!

When I try to access any of the applications, I get the message: The
installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the
source exists and that you can access it.

What does this mean? Is the problem with Office 2000 or the Windows 2000
operating system??? Please help me.

All you've said is that you are having problems with it. I have no idea what
problems so it's tough to tell whether they are hardware or software
related.

You can take it back to the seller but don't be surprised if they tell you
your problems are software related and they want to charge you for the work.
