Installed Office 2003

I just installed Office Pro 2003 > then installed FrontPage 2003 Upgrade. I
forgot right away to click View > Refresh in the FrontPage menu to
synchronize with the Office program. I turned off the machine after
installing each of the programs and restarted. When I opened FrontPage to
try the synchronization, it acted like, and looked like the refresh button
was not active.
(1) should I have gotten a message that they were synchronized?
(2) If they did synch, how would I know?
(3) What is the upside and the down side for synchronizing or not
synchronizing these two programs?
