installing 2000

HI all,
I just did an install of Office 2000. It did not let me
choose what I wanted to install. It just started
installing. I wanted to change the path and only install
portions. I installed on a Windows 982nd computer.
It did not do an autoplay when I put the cd in so I
clicked on the setup icon. Is there another way to do
the install so that I can choose? or do I need to
download something for the os?

I can only comment on my experience in installing O2K, where I selected
custom install.
You can of course modify the installation to uninstall what you dont
require.
