Installing of MS Access additional Wizards

I

Irshad Alam

I installed MS office 2000 on a computer, later when I tried to open VB Help,
it prompted to install the feature, I installed it. Later I tried to make a
command Button, it prompted to install feature, I installed. And at Last when
I selected the Option Group from Tools, It prompted again. And I installed.

Now question here is, Is there a method, by which I can install all the
wizards of MS Access one time. I mean after installing MS office. As I
understand during MS office installation, it only installs the standard one
and all the additional to be installed later. But I dont want to install one
by one, therefore I am looking for a method to install all the additional.

Please advise.

Regards.

Hi Irshad,

You need to do a full installation in order to avoid the constant nag
associated with installing components on-demand. Frankly, I do not understand
the logic associated with the default partial installs, especially given that
the cost of hard disk drives has dropped dramatically in recent years. I have
painful memories of having to sit and watch these installations when I was
teaching an Access course. Every student who tried to use some wizard would
get prompted "Please wait....". Then, if the same student logged on to a
different PC the next time, they got the pleasure of watching this all over
again.

To prevent this from happening, choose "Run all from my computer" instead of
"Installed on first use". You can see these choices by clicking on the
dropdown arrow to the left of "Microsoft Access for Windows" during the
installation process.
