I was trying to install a copy of Office 2000 on my new computer because the
old one had to be replaced. The setup runs properly and all the proper files
are copied onto the computer, but when I try to run something like wor an
error comes up stating "Error: The operating system is not presantly
configured to run this application." I've tried re-instaling several times
but it does not work. Both the old and new computer were running on XP Home
Edition. Maybe it is because the computer came with Microsoft Works (cheap
redone version of Office 95).
Has anyone else come up with this problem? Does anyone have a solution?
Thanks,
