installing office 2003 on two computers

MARK T

I own two dell computers at home. On the second one I
ordered the office 2003. i thought i could be able to
load it on both computers. i guess that is not possible
(it is called piracy). i thought being both my computers
that it would be ok - guess not. however, not it is
loaded on one computer and I need it loaded on the other
computer instead. What do i do? do I unload from one and
re-activate it on the other? i do not watn to break any
laws - I just need it on the other computer. also, is
there a package I can get to load a second software on
the other computer, and how much will that cost? thanks
for info...

If the computers are identical in terms of type (i.e. both desktops or both
laptops) then you may *NOT* install Office on both. The EULA states (and
you'd have known this, had you bothered to read it) "the product may be
installed on one desktop and one laptop, providing they are not in
simultaneous use."

But I see you don't want it installed on both - you want to remove from one
and install on the other - therefore, I fail to see the problem - just
remove it and reinstall on the desired system - if you cannot activate
online, well use the phone option.

As for the 'package' yes, it's called the Office 2003 (insert flavour here)
version - there is no discount for a second licence (and if there is, it's
not going to be more than £10).

It sounds like the software is OEM which means that yuo cannot install it on
another machine of any type since it is forever tied to the machine on which
it came.
