Installing Office 2003

Hi

I am running Office 2000 & I am considering buying Office 2003 Professional.
Here are my Qs:

Do the enhancements on 2000 make it a worthwhile purchase?
Do I lose any features currently present in Office 2000? Particularly in
Word & Excel?
Do I need to save my pst file or will the new software find it automatically?
Are there any installation issues I need to be aware of?
Will my e-mails and calendar items still be there?
Do I need to uninstall 2000 first or will it upgrade (it's not an upgrade
version)?

I think they are my basic concerns!

Jackie,
There is notable improvements in office 2003 over 2000
Loose features some.......... no more office tool bar, web
folders is gone ( no more sharing calendars) Oh yes...... on word and power
point. Now you get your clip art online not from a disk so if you do
not have an internet connection you might notice that you no longer have
near as much
It is recommended to ALWAYS back up your data prior to any
serious upgrades or changes "just in case"
There are various installation issues that truly vary with
systems as no two are alike
Your current data should be found with no issues.
I recommend uninstalling all previous office applications and
tools prior to installing 2003

Hi Can-so

Thanks very much for your thoughts. I'm still not sure whether to take the
plunge and upgrade. I've been reading some posts about conflicts etc. What
would you say were the major benefits/improvements?
