I am following along this kb
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/278272/EN-US/
I have a box with Win2k Server on it, that is where the network install
of Office is kept.
I am trying to upgrade to SP-2.
All works fine, until I actually run the msiexec command. The Office
2000 Administrative Setup window pops up, waits a second and gives me
an error.
"Error 1305. Error reading from file: C:\Fileserver\Install\MS Office
2000 SR-1\Disc1\DATA1.MSI. Verify theat the file exists and that you
can access it."
The file does indeed exist and I can access and verify this.
Maybe I dont even need to install this at all. Part 2 of this
question, would be where can I go to tell me what SP of Office I am
running?
All of this is to correct this problem:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/323634/
Which I really dont even know if I have.
I can only assume I have it, because my boss' 2GB outlook.pst crashed
the other day, and I got no warning from Outlook, even though I thought
the version I have Office 2000 SR-1 was supposed to warn people.
Thus the snowball of errors and fixes.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
