installing on new computer

Deb

I have a teacher/student vs. of Office XP ( i am a teacher) installed on my
current computer. I plan on getting rid of this computer and buying a new
one to replace it. Can I re-do or verify or what ever it is that microsoft
know that you have a different computer, on this new computer? I don't want
to have to purchase a new copy if possible.

thanks
Deb

Limitations of Academic Office Versions:

--- For noncommercial, educational use only.
--- For qualified educational users only.
--- Non-upgradeable to the next Office version.
--- Non-transferable to a different computer.
--- Has no installation support.
--- Has a non-perpetual license that is tied to the eligibility of the user.
(If a user is no longer a student or educator, the license is no longer
valid)

Your right to use the Academic version of Office 2003 ends when
you no longer meet the criteria for using the Academic version of Office 2003.

As long as you uninstall it from your old system, you may install it on the
new one. You'll have to use the telephone activation process.

(Carey's response is correct but the Academic version is not the same as
STE.)
