Installing & registering on a new computer

I purchased Microsoft 2000 and the update Microsoft
Office 2000 Professional 4 years ago. I am now loading
it onto a new computer(I have to load Microsoft Works 200
first-register-and then load the upgrade Microsoft Office
2000) When trying to register Microsoft 200 it is asking
for the 25 letter code printed on the CD--however, that
CD does not have a 25 letter code, it has an 8 letter
code and therefore my registration is getting rejected.
What can I do?
