Home-based transcriptionist

I am a home-based transcriptionist that has a client that is interested in me
performing some transcription for them. The problem I have is that I have
Microsoft Windows XP professional with word 2002 on my business computer and
this company's system requires the transcription to be done on word 2000.
They told me that I cannot use word 2002 and down save it to word 2000
because it messes up their system. Is it possible to load a version of word
2000 on my business computer without it messing up my word 2002? Also is
there a way I can get just word 2000 without having to purchase the entire
office 2000 software?
Thank you for you help!

The ONLY foolproof way to have more than one version of Office on a computer
is to have each installed in a separate bootable system.

One way to do this is to create a multiple boot system.
Another is to use a product such as Microsoft's Virtual PC or EMC' VMWare to
create virtual systems on the PC.

I say again, There is NO way to guarantee that two versions of Office (or of
Word) will work properly unless each is in a separate bootable system.
