IRGENT--PP2000--keep a tool selected?

I have a multiple-page chart that I have to revamp and
reorganize in short order, and need to work fast.

Is there a way to keep a tool selected, to use multiple
times consecutively? I can't find any information in the
Help file, and can't search this newsgroup, but have tried
holding down different keys before clicking the tool but
nothing seems to work. Time to ask!!

Some PowerPoint tools can be double clicked and will stay selected until you
click on them once to deactivate them, but charts work differently. Which one
do you want to select? You say that it is a multiple-page chart and that
terminology doesn't have meaning in PowerPoint. Is this a chart created in
PowerPoint or is it multiple slides with charts on them, or what? I guess we
need more information.
