Is there a viewer-only for Word docs ?

As far as I remember there is viewer-only for Word (2003 and older) documents.
This viewer does not require a full
MsOffice installation but remains slim and tiny and is only able to
display the documents.

However I did not found a place where I can download such a browser.

Can someone help me ?

Thank you

Well, you can't have spendt too much time looking for it. If you go to
google.com and search for word viewer, the five first hits leads you
directly to what you want.

The first hit in Google gives:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...87-8732-48D5-8689-AB826E7B8FDF&displaylang=en

from where you can download a viewer that lets you view, print and copy Word
documents, even if you don't have Word installed. This download is a
replacement for Word 97 Viewer and all previous Word Viewer versions.

It is available as a download from the download section of the Microsoft
Office Support site. And if you type 'Word Viewer' into Google, it will give
you the location in 0.15sec.

Yes.

You have Viewer for Microsoft Word and Powerpoint. The viewer application
will help you view all the word document and powerpoint file(s) in your
folder. This is very useful when you want to archive and view file in a
folder, when you do not have a complete office installation. You can also
have a the viewer application stored in a floppy for future purposes.
