Is there a way to print in sliver from Publisher?

I can create shades of gray but I'm trying to do a clear return address label
that prints a shiny silver line and don't see how to do that. I have an HP
color laser that should be able to do it but I don't know how to specify
"shiny", so to speak...

You can't. You'd need silver ink or toner.

You can get a "chrome" look using gradients. Create a rectangle, no line, fill,
fill effects... There are presets you can try as well, you will never get a
shiny look. Re-size the rectangle until it is a line.

This gives a reasonable silver colour.

Click on the small arrow to the right of the font colour icon, click on more
colours then custom. In the Red Green Blue boxes type in repectively 151 151
168. For gold try 192 168 104.
