Is there a way to time how long it takes me to create a document?

I work in a field that I need to keep track of my time. I want to know if
there is any way I can set an option that will show what time I started
working on a document and when I stopped. If possible, also show me when I
break in between the intial start and the finished saved product.

Provided you don't leave the document open while you're not working on it,
the "Total editing time" is pretty accurate. Find that on the Statistics tab
of File | Properties. Note that the count starts when you create the
document and is reset when you first save it, so be sure to save immediately
if you want the time to be accurate (or, if you forget, at least note the
elapsed time before you save).
