Somehow a bunch of tasks in an existing project got deleted. Is there any
way to get them to show up in the project again? There is actual work
associated with these tasks. Thanks.

Sorry, no. If you have an earlier backup of the file, you could go through
and see if you can retrieve them from that file manually.

Hi,

Project 2005 does not exist. If you have '03 then there is only one level of
undo so if you have done another action and then saved the file, the data is
lost, time for back ups!

If you have '07 beta, then there are multiple undo levels.

Hi ,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Are you sure they've been deleted? Check that you have no filters applied.
Are all summaries expanded? Are there any row numbers without tasks?

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

You are right, I meant 2003. I switched to another view and the tasks
re-appeared. They were "hidden" in one view but not in another. Not sure
what I had done. Then when I tried to save it while in the Gantt Chart View
(where all of my tasks were visible) I got an error that I was trying to save
a non-enterprise project to Project Server. But this was the published
project. I ended up renaming the project in order to save it.
Unfortunately, this means I will have to ask the team members to hide all of
the "old" project tasks in their timesheets so that they don't charge to the
"old" project!

Thanks for the replies everyone.
