Issue with scan of legal doc in Document Scanning?

Am I missing something here? Why the heck is legal paper size not available
when editing the scanning presets? My users should not have to interact with
scanner driver dialog just to scan a legal size doc. I was hoping to create
legal size shortcuts but this can't be done as far as I know.

Is there anything I can do in the registry to override this and allow for a
size larger than 11.69 inches?

did you check to make sure your scanner can handle that size document. Not
all can.

Yes, the Canon MP830 can handle legal size scans. This may be a problem with
their driver because when scanning using my Visioneer One Touch I do see that
Legal is available. I'll try and get Canon to respond. Thx
