Item Delete Visual Effect Option...where is it

I just reinstalled Outlook XP (2002). When I delete emails, or any item, for
that matter, instead of the space that it occupied immediately being taken
over by the item below it, I get this effect where the next item slowly
fills the space. (Kind of like the effects you can set in PowerPoint.) I'm
sure some people like that, but I don't.

I can't, for the life of me find the option setting that controls this. Any
help would be appreciated.
