Items Grayed Out

I am using Outlook XP and all of a sudden items have been
grayed out.

I can't reply, reply to all or forward, those items have
been grayed out

I try to go into tools then options and options is grayed
out.

I am not using Exchange, we are in a small domain of 3
users. We are using POP
