Java errors using Win 2000 in conjunction with Proj 2002

We are currently testing a new install of MS Project 2002
Server. When clicking on the "Task" link when accessing
via the web, the Win XP machines can get into the page
without issue but the Win 2000 machines are getting a
javascript error and cannot get into the page. From the
troubleshooting we have performed, we are sure this is an
issue with the OS and not IE. We are unable to determine
what the difference is between XP and 2000. Has anyone
encountered this and could advise?

Thanks!

Betty:

Try upgrading MDAC on one of the older machines and see if that does it. If
not, please describe what you're seeing on the page when the error indicator
appears.

Gary,

We tried to upgrade the MDAC but that did not work. The
error we are getting is: "The network request is not
supported."

We set up a couple of test Win 2000 machines and were
able to successfully access the pages that we couldn't
access on the other Win 2000 machines. We are at a loss
as to the discrepancies between them. Do you have any
other suggestions?

Thanks!

Betty

I'm stretching here, but you report the error as a Javascript error.
Perhaps the version of Javascript on the Win 2000 machine is out of date
and needs updating? I'm not sure that's possible, but maybe something
you could check?
