Jimco open web add ins and Vista

Hello,

My web host recenly changed server platforms and I am now having trouble
accesing my web and making changes. I get the following message.
The folder XXXX isn't accessible. The folder may be located on an
unavailable volume or protected with a password. I read that I could get
Jimco and that would help, but it does not mention thet it is compatible
w/Vista. Does anybody know of any other programs or solutions to this
problem. Thanks in advance.

Ask you host how they moved your site, if they copied it, that could be the main reason, it needs to
be published.

Thanks for the info. When I open the index file from my pc in frontapage, The
option to publish is grayed out. Is there something else that I should be
doing. As much as I hate to admit it, I am still learning. I have made all
changes directly on their server and just recently saved a copy of all files
on my computer. FP extensions are installed.

Thanks,

JAM

You need to Publish the web site to your local machine...not copy files.
Open FP
File | Open Site (open your site on the live server http://www.whatever.com
now
File | Publish Site to a location on your hardrive wherever you are keeping
your webs...like C:\My Docs\My Webs\yourwebname (your web name should not
have an extension, and it can be named ANYTHING you want - doesn't have to
match your URL or anything)

or if you're using IIS on your machine you'd publish to
http://localhost/yourwebname
